Automatically delete duplicate entries

Challenge

Imagine you have a form on your app or a website. That form collects variuos types of data. What happens when your no-code app start adding multiple entries of the same information? Going trough every single item an deleting it manually is a lot of work. Well, you're in luck! With Reshape API, you can fix that problem so it you never get multiple forms of data when your automation finishes.

Solution

Add your Webflow API key, select your account and select a trigger, just like in Zapier

Make sure you verify your API Key so it hooks up to our system.

Now comes the fun part. Open up the transform selection window and select the one that will solve this problem. In this instance, choose Clean & Format Data.

Then choose Remove duplicates. This option will help you remove duplicate entries inside a database or a specific row.

Now that we have selected our transform. We would like to direct your attention to the builder. It is divided into two parts: the editor part on the left and the live example part on the right. You don't need to know any code to use the editor. Just select either you want the transform to go trough the whole row or specific column items.

In our case, we selected rowTotal which removed duplicate value items.

Now all you have to do is connect this automation to Zapier, and your data will be modified and passed along automatically.
